Dr. Robert Hardy is a Minnesota Licensed Psychologist with a board competency in pain management. For the past 7 years, he has been very active in the chiropractic community lecturing, consulting, and teaching courses on pain management and lifestyle issues. Dr. Hardy has been a clinic director and psychologist with various chronic pain programs. Currently he is an adjunct professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minn. Dr. Hardy received his doctorate degree in counseling from Western Michigan University, where he met Dr. Milton Cudney, a counseling psychologist who was developing the theory for eliminating self-defeating behaviors. In 1991, Dr. Hardy and Dr. Cudney co-authored Self-Defeating Behaviors, the book is considered the original theory base of why/how people repeat counterproductive behaviors.
